Walk & Talk Therapy

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a versatile and accessible practice that can be integrated into daily life to enhance overall well-being and resilience. It encourages living in the moment with a compassionate and open-minded approach, leading to a healthier and more balanced life. It involves being fully aware of your thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment without being overwhelmed or reactive. From Buddhist traditions, mindfulness has been adapted and integrated into various therapeutic practices and is widely used for stress reduction, mental health improvement, and overall well-being.

Walk-and-talk therapy offers a unique and holistic approach to mental health care by integrating the benefits of physical activity and natural surroundings with traditional therapeutic practices. It can be a powerful option for those who prefer a more dynamic and less conventional therapy. Instead of meeting in a traditional office setting, the therapist and client walk together outdoors during their sessions. This approach can be particularly beneficial for clients who feel more comfortable in natural settings or find movement helps them express themselves more freely.

Solution Focused Therapy

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), also known as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), is a short-term, goal-oriented therapeutic approach that focuses on helping clients find solutions to their problems rather than delving deeply into their past or the root causes of their issues. It emphasises building on clients’ strengths and resources to create positive change.

Couples Therapy

Some of our 2Rivers counsellors also offer couples counselling to help you and your partner improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen your relationship.
